Emily Jane Young is the Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Word Portland. She is a  creative writing teacher and mentor in Portland, Maine. She studied writing at Stonecoast MFA and the University of Maine at Farmington. When she isn't writing, she's performing improv comedy as part of Turkey Club. Unless she's staying home indefinitely because there's a pandemic (currently).
