Hand-Thrown Pottery

Here is a collection of things I've made, for you to admire and consider purchasing for yourself, your loved ones, or your enemies. I've organized them a little, but not a lot. Mugs are by capacity, if that helps. Sometimes there is a hand in the photo for relative size, or for you to imagine holding the object. Please assume it is a normal, human-sized hand.

Thanks to my best pal, Dani, for helping with a truly enjoyable photoshoot of these fiends. Everything outside and lovely was done at her her home. Everything inside and spooky was done in my home, but I promise the objects are just as nice.

If you'd like something, please use the form at the bottom to let me know, and we can figure out payment and shipping/ pickup. Please note,
I'm an amateur in this medium so these objects are not necessarily perfect or uniform by any professional standards, and I'm not about to apologize for it. All objects are structurally sound and food-safe.

6 oz Mugs
Anders $20 . Anders is small and blue with carefully coiffed side-rim and a little bit of stank-lip. Her glaze ripples, drips, and shimmers. She's got enough attitude for the whole party.
Meg $20 . Meg is cheery and geometric. Imperfectly painted, but she's trying. Sweet round ear of handle and spiral bottom.
Dorothy $20 . Dorothy is a pale blue, delicate teacup shyly crinkled at the rim.
Murphy $20 . Murphy is for a retiring evening. He is shiny and smooth, lightly metallic at the rim with a lovely dark clay-body, slight bark texture and mottled bottom.
Lil Red $30 . Lil Red is too beautiful to be photographed accurately. She has a slight pot-belly, with modest earth-tones on the outside and swirling jewel-tones on the inside, Her handle yanks on the rim so that it wrinkles.

8 oz Mug
Fred $35 . Fred's a good guy. He's got a button nose and soft, kind ears. This shade of red has a smattering of vibrant blue in it that gives Fred a hint of purple shimmer.

Fred is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want him, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Eel $20 . Eel's teeth bite into its tongue handle. The body is glossy and pleasantly tactile. The tongue is pale and rough, like a cat's tongue, though it is human-styled. Sparkly on the inside, swirl on the bottom, Eel is perfect for sipping along with a book about creepy-crawlers.
Bingo $35 . Bingo is curious and hopeful. He had a scratch on his face, but it's healing. Hold the handle, or hold onto his wings if you like. He trusts you.
Charlotte $30 . Get it? Charlotte's Web? Looks like Charlotte had decided to build her a set of new webs amongst the abandoned cobwebs of her ancestors. This mug features a handle that is tight to the body and a prominent foot. It may give you a fright to drink out of, but you'll be rewarded with a jolly little spiral at the bottom when you're finished.
Genny $0 Genny is pale yellow with the idea of blue. She's has a perfect little bowl with an imperfect handle. (Genny has a crack in her handle. It seems to be sealed with glaze, and I believe her handle is sturdy enough and that she is worthy of having on your shelf, but I can't take money for her - free to pickup or ship with another thing, cost of shipping if you just want her.)
Chloe $25 .

10 oz Mugs
Cameron $35 . Cameron is the cool kid. A wide cylinder with casual crossed handles, glaze that divots and bumps to the bottom, little moutainscape inside. Don't let the handle(s) fool you, and easy-drinking favorite.
Honey $35 . This mug is made of honey taffy* melting in the sun. The inside has a delicate pattern of concentric circles in lavender. I apologize that one of these photos is blurry, but I didn't notice when I took it, and she looks so jolly and relaxed that I wanted to leave it in.

*Not really. It is clay.

Honey is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want her, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Christine $35 . Christine has lots of textures and nuances of color to speak of, and also every handle. Can't decide where you like to hold? No problem, this is every handle. Too many you say? No such thing! I dipped her in the glaze past my fingers and it left a fun design, I think.

Christine is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want her, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Claude $25 .
Velmer $0 Velmer likes what he sees and sees what he likes. Try to be open to it. (Velmer got a chip in their rim before glazing, which I kind of fixed, and then (in the same fall that took down Lanse), got another chip after I brought them home. Drink at your own risk, may have to be a pencil cup. I can't take money for them, but they still deserve a good home - free to pick up or ship with another thing.)
Poseidon $35 .

Poseidon is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want them, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.

12 oz Mugs
Jonathan $45 . Jonathan is a favorite of fans of landscapes. His handle is little but mighty. He has a texture that catches attractively on the sky of his glaze. Some people might think he's a pitcher, but he's not, he's just a little twisted.

Jonathan is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want him, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
East End $40 . Dark-edged and rough textured but still lovely, like that other beach. Funky handle. Smoky little remnants of last night's dream inside.

East End is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want them, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.

14 oz Mugs
Snek $35 .

Snek is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want them, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Tuck $30 .
Red Velvet $30 . Red Velvet in that little boy's smile, layers cake and drips of jewel tones, a generous handle, a geometric bottom, a new religion that'll bring you to your knees.

16 oz Mugs
Sally $30 .

22 oz Mugs
Brain $30 . Brain is monstrous, in size as well as in form. They are the largest drinking vessel I've made, with a solid yet slightly asymmetrical structure that says "holy cow, this mug I'm making is almost too big to handle!" Half creature-green, half brain-colored with brain texture. The perfect gift for your biggest-brained friend (even if that friend is yourself, know-it-all).

What do you want from me?
