Hand-Thrown Pottery

Here is a collection of things I've made, for you to admire and consider purchasing for yourself, your loved ones, or your enemies. I've organized them a little, but not a lot. Mugs and bowls are by capacity, if that helps. Sometimes there is a hand in the photo for relative size, or for you to imagine holding the object. Please assume it is a normal, human-sized hand.

Thanks to my best pal, Dani, for helping with a truly enjoyable photoshoot of these friends. Everything outside and lovely was done at her home. Everything inside and spooky was done in my home, but I promise the objects are just as nice.

If you'd like something, please use the form at the bottom to let me know, and we can figure out payment and shipping/ pickup. Please note,
I'm an amateur in this medium so these objects are not necessarily perfect or uniform by any professional standards, and I'm not about to apologize for it. All objects are structurally sound and food-safe.

6 oz Mugs
Jacky $20 . Jacky is mainly pastels and pale grays, with a sluice of golden retriever down one side. She's a small, easy-sipper with slightly rippled lip. Flair without daunt.
Anders $20 . Anders is small and blue with carefully coiffed side-rim and a little bit of stank-lip. Her glaze ripples, drips, and shimmers. She's got enough attitude for the whole party.
Dorothy $20 . Dorothy is a pale blue, delicate teacup shyly crinkled at the rim.
Murphy $20 . Murphy is for a retiring evening. He is shiny and smooth, lightly metallic at the rim with a lovely dark clay-body, slight bark texture and mottled bottom.

8 oz Mug
Title $30 .
Sharps $25 .
Imp $25 .
Cuttle $25 .
Lagoon $25 . A round little cove of smooth but uneven sides, filled with the greens and blues of the most vibrant water. A small cup with a long handle. You can really see the algae along the sides.

Lagoon is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want them, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Sela . What can I say? She's perfect purple in a little cup you won't be able to stop touching.
Canelia $30 . I stopped this one before she spun out, but Canelia is a wild one, matte with uneven textured spots, a twist, handle tucked in to her bowl.
Chloe $25 . Little buddy had to have some uneven bits ground off her bottom (don't we all sometimes?" but in the end she's a beaut. Dig her velvet rivulets and landscapes, the glassy glossy bright blues and yellows inside.
Fred $35 . Fred's a good guy. He's got a button nose and soft, kind ears. This shade of red has a smattering of vibrant blue in it that gives Fred a hint of purple shimmer.

Fred is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want him, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Eel $20 . Eel's teeth bite into its tongue handle. The body is glossy and pleasantly tactile. The tongue is pale and rough, like a cat's tongue, though it is human-styled. Sparkly on the inside, swirl on the bottom, Eel is perfect for sipping along with a book about creepy-crawlers.
Genny $0 Genny is pale yellow with the idea of blue. She's has a perfect little bowl with an imperfect handle. (Genny has a crack in her handle. It seems to be sealed with glaze, and I believe her handle is sturdy enough and that she is worthy of having on your shelf, but I can't take money for her - free to pickup or ship with another thing, cost of shipping if you just want her.)

10 oz Mugs
Landra $30 .
Snail $30 . The rare six-sided snail snails slowly enough across the breakfast table to carry hot sips of coffee and tea without sloshing. This one is blushing, they're so pleased you noticed them. Come closer.
Nina $30 .
Melt $30 .
Crescent $30 . Crescent fresh, crescent moon, crescent beach, crescent roll. A peaceful coffee-shaped cup, wide enough to dunk some of the above.

Crescent is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want him, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Honey $35 . This mug is made of honey taffy* melting in the sun. The inside has a delicate pattern of concentric circles in lavender. I apologize that one of these photos is blurry, but I didn't notice when I took it, and she looks so jolly and relaxed that I wanted to leave it in.

*Not really. It is clay.

Honey is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want her, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Velmer $0 Velmer likes what he sees and sees what he likes. Try to be open to it. (Velmer got a chip in their rim before glazing, which I kind of fixed, and then (in the same fall that took down Lanse), got another chip after I brought them home. Drink at your own risk, may have to be a pencil cup. I can't take money for them, but they still deserve a good home - free to pick up or ship with another thing.)

12 oz Mugs
Roy $40 .
Peal $30 .
Higgins . Named after a beach that is not so much a lay=in-the-sun beach as much as it is a play-the-water, lose-track-off-time, tan-extremely-unevenly kind of beach. A full-bodied mug. Tan is matte, white is smoothy-smooth glossy.
Bluet $30 . A delicate, star-shaped autumn flower, an electric damsel fly, a collection of poetry, a drippy faced, proud-handled mug.

Bluet is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want her, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Moe . Mooooooe! What a happy guy. What nice ears he has! See his dragon friend! Each of his colors is nice to look at, his capacity is generous, and if your bev is too hot to handle, he's got your back twice.
Leah . On a gray-toned day when you're not expecting purple - there Leah is! A capacious cocoa cup with a sass handle.
Song $35 . This is a good one. Song dresses in glossy bright white with a two-toned scarf of fire and ice. She has an admirable shape and a wide handle that keeps your fingies safe from the heat.
Jonathan $45 . Jonathan is a favorite of fans of landscapes. His handle is little but mighty. He has a texture that catches attractively on the sky of his glaze. Some people might think he's a pitcher, but he's not, he's just a little twisted.

Jonathan is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want him, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.

14 oz Mugs
Flossy $30 .
Ned $30 .
Talula $35 . Helloooooooooo. Here's Talula in her black velvet dress with the pale-puple going-out ruffle of slip peaking out. Handle like a wristlet, watercolored insides. Seriously, consider that perfect little apex pleat.
Mitch . Mitch dresses for attention, with bold contrasts and careful details. He's quietly dying to know if you noticed his chunky geometric handle, his coordinated in and out spirals.
Philip $35 . Philip isn't plain, he's a pale prism of patience, so sit awhile.
Snek $35 . This is a nicely shaped, capacious,  and inside-shimmery mug, but do be careful, the handle is a snake!

Snek is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want them, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.
Tuck $30 . Tuck is very-old-jeans colors, and just as comfortable in the hand. He tucks it into his socks, but he's a cool mug nevertheless.

Tuck is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want them, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.

16 oz Mugs
Weft $35 .
Charm $35 .

18 oz Mugs
Paige .

20 oz Mugs
Jerry $30 . The purple that dreams are made of, with a few crystals of blue dribbling down the side, Jerry is a LARGE mug for all day meetings.

Jerry is currently for sale at the Proper Cup. If you want him, but don't want to go there, let me know and I will see what I can do.

22 oz Mugs
Brain . Brain is monstrous, in size as well as in form. They are the largest drinking vessel I've made, with a solid yet slightly asymmetrical structure that says "holy cow, this mug I'm making is almost too big to handle!" Half creature-green, half brain-colored with brain texture. The perfect gift for your biggest-brained friend (even if that friend is yourself, know-it-all).
